| This
site documents the attempt of my friends and I to wargame the battles of
the War of the Spanish Succession during its 300th anniversary years. In
the past few years we have games Friedlingen, 1st Hochstedt, 2nd Hochstedt
(Blenheim), Schellenberg, Elixheim (Storming the limes of Brabant) and
several small battles in Bavaria and Northern Italy.
We
are just a few months away from Ramilles 2006 which will be games very
close to its 300th year anniversary to the day. Battle of Blenheim (2nd
Hochstedt) in the year of its 300th Anniversary, 2004
The
game will be played on a 36 ft wargame table at the Pacific Northwest's
Largest wargame convention, Enfilade. In order to prepare for this mammoth
task this page will serve as a reference point for our progress.
We
have developed our own set of fast play rules that capture the feel and
flair for this colorful period.
The
rules have been posted on this site when this link is active.
Wargamers
interested in this period are also encouraged to try the following rules. |
